Dec 20, 2022 - FASKhuzaimi Piee, or Jimmy as he is more affectionately known, today was officially announced as the new local player of the Red Giants to face the Malaysian League competition for the 2023 season.
A defender who needs no introductions as now is often mentioned in Malaysian football, Khuzaimi began his professional career in 2015 with PKNS FC, in the Premier League competition for one season before being loaned out to Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad FC team in the following year. He was then called up by his home state team, Melaka, in the second transfer window and went on to be one of the important characters who helped Melaka lift the 2016 Premier League trophy.
His career from 2017 until 2019 allowed his potential being eyed by UiTM FC to become a reliable player for them to compete in Malaysian Super League 2020 for their first year. Khuzaimi then grew to become a crucial player for The Lions after two seasons with the team, appearing in 20 games for the defending side of the team.
His talent became more apparent in 2022 after strings of excellent performance with Negeri Sembilan FC, he then earned a call-up to Harimau Malaya for the second time in his career. He also recently made the final list of Harimau Malaya for the Mitsubishi Electric AFF Cup 2022, which begins with the first match on December 21.
A player with extensive experience in the Malaysian football arena and a very dedicated player, he wants to help Selangor FC to the level he and the club has always been aiming for.
"Everyone knows Selangor FC is a big team. So, I consider this as a challenge that I accept to grow myself and my career.
In addition, I am a person who always sets high goals for myself. So, personally, I intend to take Selangor to a level that I dream of, which is to the Asian Cup," Khuzaimi shared his hope with Selangor FC Media.
Selangor FC welcomes Khuzaimi Piee. Hopefully he can strengthen the Red Giants defense for the 2023 Malaysian League season.
Khuzaimi is the second latest player to be introduced to the first team after Selangor FC introduced Ruventhiran recently.
